Role Description

The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role is responsible for managing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Day-to-day tasks include developing project plans, monitoring progress against milestones and budgets, resolving site issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Construction Project Manager will lead meetings with stakeholders, review drawings and specifications, manage change orders, and provide regular status updates to leadership and clients. The role requires consistent on-site presence to oversee construction activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management to oversee commercial projects from inception through completion.


• Candidates should possess skills in Project Management and Project Coordination to plan workflows, manage schedules, and align cross-functional teams and subcontractors.


• Candidates should possess skills in Budgeting to develop, track, and manage project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting.


• Relevant experience in commercial construction, design-build delivery, and working with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.


• Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.


• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions on-site.


• Proficiency with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and basic office applications.


• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in commercial construction.
