Job summary

Lewis Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, time, quality, and budget compliance. You will oversee budgets, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships while collaborating with the Field Superintendent to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong financial management, leadership, and communication skills, plus proficiency with PM software and MS

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects similar in scope.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required.
  • CMAR project delivery experience preferred.
  • Construction estimating experience is a plus.
  • Strong financial management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with construction management software such as PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, Sage Timberline, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining client service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Partner with the Field Superintendent to ensure successful project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, and cost controls.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor scopes of work and procurement activities.
  • Prepare and administer subcontract agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Evaluate and manage change orders and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Analyze project sequencing, scheduling, procurement strategies, and construction logistics.
  • Perform value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Support commissioning, project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams while maintaining schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in preconstruction services, including budgeting, scheduling, phasing, and planning as required.
  • Manage one large project or multiple concurrent projects, depending on business needs.

Job description
