Job summary

Barnhill Contracting Company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee daily operations on one or multiple construction projects in North Carolina. You will provide technical support to the project team and ensure alignment with Barnhill’s mission, vision and values.

The role requires strong scheduling, BIM coordination, documentation control and field coordination with subcontractors and design teams. Join a values-driven contractor with a long history and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience managing project schedules, BIM coordination, material procurement, subcontractors, resources and project documentation.
• Experience with Owner/Subcontractor Change Orders, RFIs and project closeout processes.
• Ability to conduct site inspections to verify installations meet submittals and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, BIM coordination, material procurement, subcontractors, resources and project documentation using Barnhill and/or Designer/Owner PM software.
• Manage processing of Owner Change Orders, Subcontractor Change Orders, RFIs and project closeout.
• Conduct frequent and regular site inspections to ensure installations meet, or exceed, approved submittals and quality of construction.
• Document and keep records of project submittals with subcontractors, design team and owners to ensure timely approvals.
• Manage and update Contract Drawings and Specifications with Architect Supplemental Information to keep field operations current.
• Prepare meeting agendas, record and distribute meeting minutes to the Project Team.
• Collaborate on Preconstruction activities: planning/design, constructability reviews, bidding, subcontractor solicitations and post bid scope reviews.
• Mentor teammates to ensure safe working conditions and high productivity on project sites.
