Job summary

Balfour Beatty US invites college students to join our 2026-2027 Internship program in the Carolinas. You will support project teams, learn budgeting, safety and quality control, and assist with submittals and scheduling to help deliver projects on time and within scope.

This role emphasizes developing strong communication and computer skills while gaining exposure to owner/superintendent coordination, change management, and project documentation in a busy construction environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.
• Internship experience in commercial construction is helpful but not required.
• Demonstrates ability to learn project budgeting, safety and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Support project budget management by tracking expenditures and billings.
• Learn safety and quality control programs and assist in addressing issues.
• Help review submittal data, shop drawings, and change documents.
• Assist in coordinating submittals, deliveries and schedule with the Superintendent.
• Record and monitor weekly/monthly status reports and meeting minutes.
