Job summary

Arden Building Companies seeks college students for a hands-on construction management internship with Arden Engineering Constructors. You will work closely with project managers and estimators in Pawtucket, RI, gaining experience across the construction process and coordinating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and trades.

Essential duties include Procore/Smart Sheets documentation, assembling submittals and RFIs, schedules, site visits, bid-support, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college degree program (engineering, construction management or related field) with minimum junior standing.
• Desire to pursue a career in construction/project management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain deliverable dates.
• Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication to work with employees, vendors and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Processing documentation in Procore and Smart Sheets.
• Assembling submittals and RFIs.
• Assembling Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• Performing Job-Site visits.
• Obtaining and processing plans and specs for new bids.
• Inviting vendors/sub-contractors to view bid documents.
• Processing quotes and paperwork for bid.
• Creation and maintenance of project schedules.
• Miscellaneous duties as required by Estimating & Construction departments.
