O’Connell Electric Company is offering a part-time Project Management Intern position for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. The role supports project planning, scheduling, cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction objectives, with hands-on experience in both office and field environments.

Intern will work with Project Managers, prepare documents, attend meetings, and visit job sites to observe field operations. A strong emphasis is placed on writing, analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in construction management or related undergraduate program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, sketches, and other project documents.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and attend meetings.
• Interface with team members to support admin and project tasks.
• Visit job sites to observe field operations and engage with foremen and electricians.
• Engage with safety professionals to understand safety policies on projects.
• Learn how projects are estimated from the estimating team.
• Take on additional tasks assigned by supervisor to support operations and admin teams.
