Job summary

The Walsh Group offers an internship program in Northwest Indiana (La Porte, IN) designed to prepare you for leadership roles on and off the jobsite. Interns gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management while supporting estimating and preconstruction tasks.

Selected interns may travel across the United States and join either field or office teams, with potential transition to full-time positions after graduation. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination.
• Estimate costs for change orders.
• Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Schedule contracts and materials.
• Document control.
• Coordinate subcontractors.
• Safety management.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals, assist with change orders.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
