Job summary

The Walsh Group offers internships in Pocatello, Idaho, designed to prepare you for leadership positions on and off the jobsite. Interns may work on jobsites or in the office, assisting with pursuits in estimating and preconstruction departments, with opportunities to travel across the United States.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management and may be placed in a role leading toward full-time employment after college graduation.

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Education

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
