Job summary

FINITET INC in the Greater Chicago Area seeks a Construction Specialist for a full-time hybrid role that combines on-site project support with flexible work-from-home days. You will coordinate construction activities, review drawings, and help ensure safety, quality, and budget alignment.

You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers, monitor schedules, prepare progress reports, and document issues and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Site visits approximately 3–4 days per week with a valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial building construction experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, and design intent.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities and maintain records.
• Assist in implementing engineering designs and review drawings.
• Support site inspections to verify compliance with codes and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; prepare progress reports.
• Review construction documents and track project issues; resolve field conflicts.
