FlatironDragados is seeking a detail-oriented Business Manager to lead financial administration for our projects in Alexandria, VA. You will oversee monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting, and cost controls while ensuring accurate ledgers and strong internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years of finance experience in construction, a finance or accounting degree, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years finance experience or training in the construction industry
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Verbal, written and presentation skills
• Management skills: delegate tasks and communicate expectations
• Understanding of construction industry and project accounting
• Knowledge of state/local sales/use tax requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and year-end/audit schedules
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Ensure sub-ledgers reconcile with the general ledger
• Assist with budgeting and cost controls across departments/projects
• Document accuracy and integrity of financial statements
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures and internal controls
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and related payments/collections
• Handle company accounts, checks and signatures
• Assist in managing project and District asset inventories and payroll
