About the Opportunity

Seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead K-12 and education-focused construction work.

This role is designed for a senior construction leader who understands the complexity of school district projects, public-sector stakeholders, occupied campus environments, phased construction, community visibility, and the importance of schedule certainty around academic calendars.

The ideal candidate will bring strong GC experience, a proven background managing education projects, and the ability to lead client relationships, project teams, preconstruction strategy, execution, financial performance, and long-term account growth.

Position Summary

The Project Executive will provide senior leadership across K-12 construction projects from early pursuit and preconstruction through construction, closeout, and client relationship management.

This person will be responsible for overseeing project teams, supporting school district and owner relationships, managing risk, protecting financial performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, professionally, and in alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead K-12 and education construction projects from pursuit / preconstruction through closeout
  • Serve as senior client-facing leader for school districts, owners, architects, consultants, and internal teams
  • Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and support staff
  • Provide leadership on budgeting, estimating, scheduling, logistics, phasing, constructability, procurement, and execution strategy
  • Support project pursuits, interviews, proposals, presentations, and client relationship development
  • Manage overall project performance, including cost, schedule, quality, safety, risk, and client satisfaction
  • Partner with preconstruction teams on early budgeting, value engineering, design coordination, and constructability review
  • Ensure projects are properly staffed, supported, and aligned with company standards
  • Lead risk management around contracts, change orders, claims, schedule impacts, procurement, and owner expectations
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, design teams, subcontractors, school district stakeholders, and internal leadership
  • Support occupied campus planning, student / staff safety, logistics, phasing, temporary facilities, and public-facing communication
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leaders
  • Help grow and maintain long-term education-sector relationships in the Seattle market

Qualifications
  • Strong background in K-12, education, public works, or institutional construction
  • Prior experience as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, or senior project leader
  • Ability to lead multiple projects, large project teams, or key client accounts
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, procurement, contracts, change management, and closeout
  • Experience managing occupied campus work, phased construction, or public-sector stakeholder environments preferred
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to mentor teams, manage risk, and drive accountability across multiple project stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Seattle-area subcontractors, school districts, municipalities, consultants, or public works processes preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent construction leadership experience will be considered
