Job summary

The Waldinger Corporation in Kearney, NE is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of projects in varying weather conditions. You will work with managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include project planning, RFIs, coordination of activities, engineering support, QA/QC, cost monitoring, and effective communication with subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction, engineering, or related field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Moderate travel.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination: assists in developing and implementing project plans and schedules; submits RFIs and manages documentation; coordinates activities to ensure timely completion.
• Engineering Support: performs technical calculations, analyses, and evaluations related to construction materials, methods, and specs; reviews drawings and specs for accuracy.
• Quality Assurance and Control: monitors workmanship and materials; conducts inspections and quality audits; reports issues and recommends corrective actions.
• Cost Control and Budget: monitors project costs against budgets; tracks expenses and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
• Stakeholder Management: communicates with project team members, subcontractors, clients; resolves issues through negotiation and problem-solving.
• Client Network: builds and maintains client relationships via events, conferences, and mentorship.
