Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to support project execution, from contract setup to field coordination, ensuring successful delivery of construction projects in the Washington, DC area. The role involves maintaining PMIS data, preparing bid packages, and coordinating submittals, RFIs, and permits with a client-focused mindset.

The position requires 1+ years of experience with RFIs, plans, and close-out, and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or 8 years

Qualifications

• 1+ years of creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence.
• 1+ years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings; outline specs for submissions.
• 1+ years' experience with project close out.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution through contract setup, project administration and field coordination.
• Maintain project data in the PMIS and manage submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare bid packages, support the permit process, and maintain project documentation throughout the life of the project.
• Monitor on-site construction activities, inspect deliveries, and participate in safety meetings.
• Promote Skanska’s safety standards and Care for Life initiatives; coordinate with clients, trade contractors, and design partners.
