Job summary

Griffith Company is seeking a Project Engineer for the San Diego area. You will provide technical support to the Project Manager to ensure work complies with codes, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, expediting materials, preparing estimates data, and compiling progress analysis to keep projects on schedule. Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong writing and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Must have a strong work ethic and time management skills.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and computer skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications; CPR/AED and First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Provide project startup duties.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Maintain project controls: daily reports, cost codings, submittals, RFIs, time/material requests, and progress payments.
• Support construction planning, quality control, and constructability reviews.
• Represent company during client meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Develop and maintain project reports and logs for compliance.
• Review accounts payable, subcontracts and timesheets.
• Facilitate site meetings and track labor costs and equipment.
• Assemble project schedules and perform change order analysis.
