Job summary

Pulice is seeking a Project Engineer to track and analyze cost data, ensuring projects stay on budget. The role emphasizes resource monitoring, construction knowledge, and strong coordination with field teams in Port Arthur, TX.

You will review drawings, specs and data, manage RFIs, update schedules, and report progress to owners and management. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in construction engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years construction engineering experience.
• Knowledge of cost accounting and budgeting for projects.
• Understanding of design-build or alternative build techniques.
• Able to delegate work to engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of contract specifications and QA practices.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and cost coding.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm materials and resources.
• Review shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data.
• Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Identify budget or schedule risk elements that could impact cost.
• Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections.
• Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
• Prepare and manage a three-week work plan and mitigate delays and costs.
• Initiate and manage RFIs.
• Remit accurate project quantities using cost codes for reporting.
• Manage invoicing with accounting for materials and subcontractors.
• Review certificates and permits needed for work.
• Review Job Hazard Analysis to ensure safety and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
