Job summary

ECBuild-LLC seeks a Project Engineer to join our Fort Worth team. You will review submittals, expedite, coordinate among subcontractors, owners, and the construction team, and maintain document control to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include RFI and submittal management, meetings, and closeout support. Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of project engineering experience, a construction-related bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years' experience as Assistant Project Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field.
• Internships in the Construction Industry.
• Working knowledge of construction aspects including subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules and safety.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar project management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Willingness to travel and work at various locations.
• Ability to work with diverse, multi-disciplinary groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal team members and external parties to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure scope conforms to contract and manage changes to prevent unbudgeted work.
• Attend project meetings as required by the Project Manager.
• Maintain and update construction documents, submittals, RFIs, changes and drawings.
• Support Quality Control/Quality Assurance efforts.
• Assist with job cost management efforts.
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
• Manage RFI process and Submittal process.
• Organize material testing documentation and track non-conformance to closure.
• Perform other duties as required by the Project Manager.

ECBuild is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The Project Engineer will be responsible for submittal review, expediting, coordination, problem resolution (RFI’s), document control and be the touchpoint between multiple parties including Subcontractors, Owners and other key members of the construction team.

Job Duties

• Assist in management of all features of the assigned project(s) from start through closeout
• Reinforce the management of the project requiring effective interaction and coordination with internal team members as well as external parties
• Ensure scope is executed according to the contract and prevent unplanned/unbudgeted work
• Attend all project meetings as required by the Project Manager
• Maintain and keep current all construction documents (Submittals, RFI’s, change orders, drawings, specifications, etc.) and prepare as-built documents
• Assist with Quality Control/Quality assurance efforts
• Support the job cost management efforts
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
• Manage RFI process
• Manage Submittal process
• Organize all material testing documentation and track all non-conformance issues to closure
• Perform other related duties as assigned, as required by Project Manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-5 years’ experience in the role of Assistant Project Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field required
• Internships in the Construction Industry
• Working knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules and safety required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills essential
• Excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail
• Proficient with project management software – Procore, or similar
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel
• Proficient with Bluebeam
• Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locations
• Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groups

Preferred Education and Experience

• Project Types: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP and Commercial Experience is a plus
