Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer in the Construction Industry with a General Contractor is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Prior healthcare project experience is desired.
• Must be able to commute to Fort Worth regularly; relocation may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing building construction and renovation projects.
• Coordinate bids and carry out Project Engineer duties to coordinate and execute projects.
• Plan and coordinate construction activities on a daily basis.
• Establish budget and schedule for construction projects.
• Monitor and control expenses within the budget.
• Analyze construction problems and develop immediate resolutions.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Identify delays and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Develop project plans, QA plans and health and safety plans with the PM.
• Review RFI responses and monitor change orders.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and owner representatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing building construction and renovation projects.
• Coordinate bids as well as perform all the functions of a Project Engineer to help coordinate/execute projects.
• Plan and coordinate construction activities on daily basis.
• Establish budget and schedule for construction project.
• Monitor and control expenses within the established budget.
• Analyze construction problems and develop immediate resolutions.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Identify slippages or delays in constructions and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
• Identify milestones and problem areas and accordingly recommend preventive actions.
• Work with Project Manager to develop project plan, quality assurance plan and health and safety plan.
• Analyze RFI responses and monitor and process change orders.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external client, including representatives of the owner.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer in the Construction Industry with a General Contractor is required. (not an entry level position).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or other related field is preferred.
• Prior experience on healthcare projects is desired.
• Must be able to commute to Fort Worth regularly (will relocate as well).
• Valid Driver’s License required.
