Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hyper-Scale Project Director of Data Center Construction who will lead large-scale, complex data center projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, extensive project management experience, and the ability to secure new business within the mission critical sector. The Project Director will assemble project teams, oversee project phases from initiation to closure, and ensure successful project delivery.

Location

Remote in the US, with willingness to travel extensively to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Strategy: Develop construction plans, define scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources, manage budgets, and ensure timely project completion.
• Risk Management: Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain alignment.
• Performance Monitoring: Track progress, report metrics, and adjust plans as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulations.
• Innovation: Seek process improvements using innovative technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; 15+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven project management experience in construction, especially in data centers with budgets $100-300M.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Valid US driver’s license, passport, and willingness to travel (~70%).
