Job summary

DAVIS is redefining the construction experience by building success for all. The Project Accountant will manage project cost and payment records and support operations with financial details, leveraging CMiC and Excel.

This role requires organizing multiple tasks, independent work, and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely submissions. The position emphasizes accuracy in reconciliations, schedule creation, and CMiC reporting, with a base salary in the range

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Construction industry experience a plus.
• Strong decision making, research and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Good time management and ability to organize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• CMiC software experience a plus.
• Able to quickly learn new software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and process project cost and payment records.
• Provide support to operations staff with financial details.
• Update account reconciliation and analysis templates (over/under billing, closeout reports, negative cash, prepaids, accruals).
• Produce CMiC deliverables and review CMiC reporting (PSRs, invoices, reimbursements, GL balances).
• Create accurate schedules and submit to management.
• Apply Excel to update recurring or ad hoc schedules.
