Job summary

Sierra Lobo is seeking a Mid-Level Small Construction Project Coordinator to support NASA Langley operations. You will coordinate projects from request to closeout, develop cost estimates, read drawings, and prepare project documentation. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint is required; AutoCAD and MAXIMO experience is a plus.

US citizenship is required. Located at NASA Langley Research Center, the role involves on-site work with travel between facilities and office

Qualifications

• Two years of college with courses in engineering or associated disciplines; six years of related experience preferred.
• Experience communicating orally and in writing with visual aids.
• Knowledge of construction trades, especially Mechanical/HVAC; experience in construction management and cost estimating preferred.
• Exposure to AutoCAD and MAXIMO; ability to read engineered drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction projects from initial request through completion and close out, including planning, estimating, subcontractor coordination, contract awards, and on-site verification.
• Create independent construction estimates using RSMeans data.
• Read and interpret engineered drawings and specs to identify scope.
• Assist in developing drawings and specifications for projects.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint for reports and correspondence.
• Apply project management principles and decision-making in multi-project environments.
• Remain self-directed to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight.
