Qualifications

• Has previous construction or construction-management experience.
• Very comfortable using computers and learning new software.
• Can read construction plans or is capable of learning quickly.
• Is organized and detail-oriented.
• Communicates well with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Takes ownership of their work instead of waiting to be told every next step.
• Wants to learn commercial estimating and the fencing industry.
• Is interested in growing with a locally owned construction company.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Learning to estimate commercial fencing projects.
• Preparing bids and proposals.
• Working with general contractors, customers, suppliers, and field crews.
• Coordinating materials and project schedules.
• Tracking project costs and profitability.
• Managing change orders and additional work.
• Helping schedule crews and upcoming projects.
• Following projects from bid through installation and completion.
• Maintaining organized project files and documentation.
• Helping make sure crews have the information and materials needed before arriving on site.
