Job summary

H Mart is seeking an Interior Designer in Whittier, CA to support design projects from permit to completion. You will work with the HQ Asset Team, Design Team, landlords, general contractors, and vendors to ensure designs meet code and schedule requirements.

The role requires a portfolio demonstrating relevant work, 2–3 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or 3ds Max. Bilingual English/Korean is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Interior Design or Architecture or related field.
• 2–3 years of related professional experience.
• Excellent portfolio of previous works required.
• English and Korean bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support permit applications, code compliance, and owner-supplied materials.
• Coordinate project schedules, site visits, and business travel as needed.
• Coordinate with HQ Asset Team, Design Team, landlord, GC, refrigeration contractor, vendors, and other departments.
• Prepare project proposals, internal reports, and other documentation as required.
• Support project coordination and follow-up to ensure projects are completed according to design, schedule, and requirements.

• Coordinate with the HQ Asset Team, Design Team, landlord, general contractor, refrigeration contractor, vendors, and other relevant departments.
• Prepare project proposals, internal reports, and other documentation as required.
• Support project coordination and follow-up to ensure projects are completed according to design, schedule, and requirements.

Qualifications / Skills

• BS/BA in Interior Design or Architecture Major or related field
• 2 to 3 years of related professional experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or 3D Max
• Excellent portfolio of previous works required
• Bilingual in English and Korean language preferred
