Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 0-2 years of PE/Construction experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining Project Schedule.
  • Create Request for Quotations and tabulate quotations for PM’s approval.
  • Assist in generating RFIs, FWDs, and Bulletins with the PM/Superintendent.
  • Assist with Scope of Work changes and bid evaluations.
  • Utilize project management software and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Maintain subcontractor lists for bidding and transmit bid documents.
  • Track bidders, assemble Scope of Work Book and distribute documents to subcontractors.
  • Transmit submittals to Architects and subcontractors after approval.
  • File Certified Payroll reports and progress photos.
  • Draft memoranda on project changes and assist in presentations and progress reports.

About the Role:

The Project Coordinator/ Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful planning, design, and execution of commercial construction projects across the United States with a high focus in NE Ohio. This position requires managing technical aspects of projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client specifications. The Project Coordinator / Project Engineer will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs and shop drawings, and manage project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and cost targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0-2 years of PE/Construction experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining Project Schedule
  • Create Request for Quotations, collect and qualify quotations, tabulate quotations, for PM’s approval for all Requests for Proposal.
  • Assist Project Manager/Superintendent in creating RFI’s, FWD,s and Bulletins
  • Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with Scope of Work changes
  • Request Bid Evaluations
  • Utilize the project management software
  • Create and distribute Project Meeting Minutes.
  • Maintains subcontractor list as assigned for bidding utilizing the Company’s selected computer program(s).
  • Transmits invitation to bid letters using current methodologies as directed.
  • Assist Estimator / Project Manager in tracking bidders.
  • Assembles Scope of Work Book on a project by project basis. Sends Bid Documents out for printing and distributes to Subcontractors.
  • Contacts unsuccessful bidders to secure return of Bid Documents books.
  • Transmits submittals to Architects and transmits submittals back to subcontractors after they have been approved by the Architect.
  • Tracks and Files Certified Payroll reports by project as required.
  • Scans and files project progress photos
  • Drafts and or otherwise prepares memoranda and bulletins on project changes and transmits to appropriate subcontractor.
  • Assists in creating presentation materials.
  • Assists in the compilation of the Monthly Progress Reports as directed.
  • Assist in taking Meeting Minutes as directed
  • Performs any other task or duty as may be directed by Project Managers or the Office Manager.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, specifications and contractual documents.
  • Proficiency in construction software.
  • Proficiency in required construction technology.
  • Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
  • Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.

CERTIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

  • Successful completion of company training and role-specific professional development coursework, within required timeframe (Required).
  • Successful completion and maintenance of First Aid Certification, CPR (Required).
  • All OSHA training required to supervise project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • This is a traveling role and the individual will need to travel out of state for periods of time to complete projects as necessary
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project demands.
  • Normal office/climate controlled environment, but may also be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.
  • Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Climbing.
