Job summary

GeoSpecialties is seeking a Project Financial Analyst to join our finance team and manage financial performance of construction projects. You will collaborate with accounting, project managers, COO, and executives to build robust financial systems and monthly WIP processes.

You’ll drive job costing, forecasts, and WIP reporting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and profitability analysis across projects. This role interfaces with operations and leadership to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting or related experience.
• Experience with construction job costing and project financial management.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting software (Deltek/ComputerEase).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly WIP reports.
• Update forecasts and document revisions for WIP reviews.
• Review budgets, costs, billings, and profitability with project managers.
• Analyze project financial performance and risks.
• Ensure proper cost allocation for labor, materials and equipment.
• Develop cost-to-complete forecasts throughout projects.
• Reconcile WIP with job cost reports and accounting records.
• Support revenue recognition and month-end close.
• Track change orders and their financial impact.
• Assist with project setup, budgets and closeout.
• Develop leadership dashboards and reporting.
• Suggest improvements to costing and reporting processes.
• Become proficient in ComputerEase Cloud by Deltek.
