Job summary

CV Resources is seeking an experienced Project Accounting Manager to join a growing construction company in Brentwood, TN. This role will oversee the project accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, job costing, and compliance with accounting standards throughout each project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction project accounting experience, leadership experience, and hands-on ACS 606 knowledge.

Qualifications

5+ years of construction project accounting experience, including leadership.
Hands-on experience with ACS 606 required.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting.
Experience billing, change orders, retainage, and contract accounting.

Responsibilities

Manage accounting functions for multiple active construction projects from inception through closeout.
Oversee project setup, budgeting, job costing, and contract administration.
Review and analyze project costs with proper labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead coding.
Prepare and review project billings, change orders, retainage, and revenue recognition.
Reconcile project financials and investigate cost variances.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to support profitability.
Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Monitor WIP schedules and support forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Mentor and support project accounting staff.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
