Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Project Accountant for our construction projects. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, tracking subcontractor and labor costs, and managing all project financials using QuickBooks.

The role requires GAAP compliance, detailed reporting, and collaboration with project managers to keep projects on budget. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project accounting in construction, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Track and report on subcontractor costs, labor costs, vendor bills, and subcontractor bills for accurate reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage project financials, including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
• Perform regular reconciliations of project accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to project managers and senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets, monitor spending, and identify cost overruns.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial regulations.
• Assist with financial closeout of completed projects.
