Job summary

CFS, a well-established construction company in California's Central Valley, seeks an experienced accounting professional for an onsite role in Visalia, CA. You will manage job cost accounting and ensure accurate project financial reporting across multiple active projects.

You will collaborate with project managers and leaders to monitor costs, prepare monthly reports, analyze variances, and support month-end close and audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including construction or project-based accounting.
• Strong job costing and contract accounting knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, Vista, Foundation, or QuickBooks and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage job cost accounting and maintain project financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, work-in-progress schedules, reconciliations, and project analyses.
• Review contracts, change orders, billing activity, and subcontractor payments for accuracy.
• Analyze project budgets, forecast variances, and provide financial insights to management.
• Support month-end close, audits, and process improvements.
