Starlite Building Services is seeking a Project Accountant to manage project budgets, billing, and subcontractor compliance from our Miami office. The role supports accounting processes across multiple project sites and interfaces with vendors and clients to ensure timely payments and accurate cost control.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in project accounting or administration, a Bachelor's degree (preferred) or commensurate experience, and solid MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in project accounting or project administration.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up project budgets within CMiC to ensure accuracy and alignment with contract.
• Establish and maintain job-specific rate tables in accordance with contract.
• Lead owner billing process: prepare, review, post, and maintain billing trackers; support collection efforts to receive payments within contract terms.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance, including insurance, lien waivers, and second-tier requirements.
• Manage subcontractor payment processes and respond to inquiries.
• Review, approve, and cost-code invoices; process cost reallocations.
• Partner with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Review monthly Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports; analyze gross profit fluctuations and risks.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Attend Project Meetings as needed.
• Prepare project-specific Work-in-Process (WIP) entries, including Risk & Opportunity analysis.
• Support teams with project revenue projections and ensure alignment with project performance.
