Job summary

RealREPP, a full-service recruiting firm, partners with a growing construction organization to identify a Project Accountant Lead. This role oversees job costing, billing, and financial reporting for large and multiple projects, ensuring internal controls and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Accountant Lead will supervise a team of Project Accountants, drive process improvements, and collaborate with senior managers to align financial strategy with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Lump Sum and Cost Plus/GMP projects.
• Strong knowledge of project setup, cost codes, billings, and cost reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely processing of project financial transactions, job costs, and billings.
• Ensure integrity of accounting systems, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Monitor project financials and prepare standard and ad hoc reports.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and construction industry best practices.
• Partner with the Accounting Senior Manager and Project Managers on financial strategy and project performance.
• Lead implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Project Accountants; provide performance feedback.
