Job summary

LeoForce is hiring a skilled Construction Project Accountant in Gardena, CA. The role focuses on budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and payroll for multiple construction projects, with a strong emphasis on accurate financial reporting and compliance.

You will work with project managers to forecast costs, analyze profitability, and ensure clean audits. Procore and Timberline/Sage 300 experience are essential, along with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project accounting.
• Proficiency in construction accounting software, including AIA, Textura, Timberline, Sage 300, and Procore.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
• Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience with construction payroll processing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit AIA billing and other client invoicing.
• Process subcontractor payments and manage Textura payment system.
• Maintain Timberline accounting system and Sage 300 ERP system.
• Handle project-related payroll and employee expense reports.
• Forecast project costs and cash flow with project managers.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization.
• Ensure timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, year-end).
• Collaborate with external auditors for audits and compliance.
• Use Procore to track project financials and Excel for data analysis.
