Job summary

Alliance Construction & Design is seeking a Project Accountant in Wisconsin to monitor financials on active projects, review variances, approve expenses, and ensure timely billings and collections. You will set up new jobs in our accounting software, manage budgets, cost data, subcontractor pay requests, and assist in project close-out with accurate WIP reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in construction accounting.
• Proficient with construction accounting software, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce.
• Proficient in AIA format billing.
• Capable of working with a variety of people in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently or collaboratively with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions for assigned projects.
• Assist project teams with accounting-related questions.
• Create new job setups in accounting software.
• Input project budgets and material costs.
• Approve subcontractor pay requests and material invoices on time.
