Job summary

Sourcedesk Global Inc is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support project finance management within a growing construction-focused organization. This role links day-to-day project operations with corporate financial oversight and reports to the Controller.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction accounting, job costing, and experience with Jonas Premier or similar ERP. Collaboration with PMs and PCs is essential to ensure profitable, accurately reported projects.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years hands-on experience in project accounting or construction accounting.
• Experience managing financial information for active construction projects.
• Strong understanding of job costing, cost tracking and project profitability management.
• Experience with WIP schedules, EAC reporting, forecasting, and construction billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact between corporate accounting and Project Managers / Project Coordinators.
• Collaborate with project teams to review active project pipelines, financial status, commitments, and upcoming requirements.
• Provide project teams with accurate financial information to manage individual projects effectively.
• Bridge communication between operations and finance by translating project progress, delays, and milestones into financial information.
• Track project costs, commitments, revenues, and profitability; support WIP and EAC reporting.
