Job summary

CFS in Columbus, OH is seeking a Project Accountant to gain hands-on experience in construction accounting and project cost management. You will process invoices and POs, maintain job cost records, and support monthly draw requests.

The role collaborates with operations, lenders, and vendors, monitors budgets, investigates variances, and helps with budgeting and cost estimates for projects. A degree in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience required.
• Construction, project, or job cost accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, purchase orders, and monthly draw requests.
• Maintain accurate job cost records and reconcile project expenses.
• Monitor budgets and investigate cost variances and overruns.
• Coordinate payment activity with vendors, lenders, and third-party partners.
• Assist with budgeting and project completion cost estimates.
