Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our construction-focused team in Fairfax. You will manage cost accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple projects, while collaborating with project managers to keep projects on budget and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least five years of project accounting experience in construction, with proficiency in Yardi, MS Project, and Excel. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project accounting in construction.
• Proficient in cost accounting, forecasting, and financial statements.
• Experience with A/R, A/P, and general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects of construction projects including cost accounting and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly project financial statements for management and teams.
• Maintain A/R and ensure timely collections; manage A/P including check runs.
• Maintain the general ledger for each project.
• Use Yardi and MS Project to track costs and generate reports.
• Collaborate with PMs to develop budgets and monitor costs.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with budget reporting requirements.
