Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to join the division finance team and manage job cost projections, billings, and coordination with AP and Subcontract departments for monthly owner billings.

Responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, understanding contract terms for progress billings, maintaining cost codes, and ensuring timely invoicing while supporting variance analysis and monthly reports for the Division Controller.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge required.
• Data Center Experience preferred.
• Experience leading a project accounting team.
• Experience with project cost controls and billings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to manage receivables and payables.
• Ensure accurate progress billings and payments per contracts.
• Prepare monthly invoice packages with supporting documentation.
• Review project budgets and cash flow; monitor variances.
• Lead monthly accounting meetings with project management.
• Reconcile non-lump sum billings to job costs.
