Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to join the division finance team. You will manage job cost projections, billings, and coordinate with AP and Subcontracts for monthly Owner billings.

Partner with Project Managers to ensure timely receivables/payables, review contracts, and maintain cost codes and budgets. Strong Excel and GAAP knowledge required; construction industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial principles.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
• Experience with project cost tracking and job costing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely receivables and payables.
• Understand owner and subcontractor contracts to ensure accurate billings.
• Maintain standard cost codes in the accounting system.
• Manage monthly invoice packages with backups for billings.
• Lead monthly accounting meetings to review projections and billings.
• Prepare and review project cost reports and variances.
