Job summary

Pavarini McGovern, part of STO Building Group, is seeking a Project Accountant to manage financial activity on select construction projects from start-up through close-out in our New York Business Unit.

You will handle end-to-end accounting, billing, cost control, revenue recognition, and monthly reporting. The role requires 3+ years of project accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Collaboration with project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant project accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end financial support for all contract types.
• Participate in project finance reviews with the project team.
• Support costs to completion forecasts and billing projections.
• Monitor change orders and project costs; ensure proper revenue recognition.
