Job summary

ProPivotal, an innovative architectural firm in Boston, is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary between $75,000 to $95,000 annually, along with an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The position supports a hybrid work model with four days in the office and one remote day weekly. Ideal candidates will have 3 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience and proficiency with Deltek and advanced Excel tools.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of accounting experience in related sectors.
• Experience with construction or development projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets and proposals with project managers.
• Ensure accuracy in project financials and general ledger.
• Handle billing, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor communications.
• Perform budget versus actual analysis and monitor projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with project managers and partners to manage project budgets and proposals.
• Ensure project financials are accurate, including general ledger entries, financial statements, and journal entries.
• Handle billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor/consultant communications to maintain data accuracy.
• Perform budget versus actual analysis and monitor projects to stay within budget parameters.
• Use Deltek accounting software and Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Macros). Prior exposure to Power BI is a plus.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3 to 7 years of accounting experience, ideally from architecture, engineering, construction, or real estate sectors.
• Experience with construction or development projects.
• Proficiency with Deltek or similar ERP programs.
• Advanced Excel as it relateswith project accounting processes.
