Job summary

Raven Mechanical L P is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to support project profitability and the broader accounting team. You will monitor costs, assist with WIP reporting, and help with month-end close while growing your skills in construction accounting.

You’ll collaborate with project managers, operations, and finance to drive informed decisions and process improvements as you learn ERP systems and expand responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1–2 years of formal accounting experience.
• Experience with job costing and WIP reporting.
• Familiar with A/P and/or A/R and GL activities.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience with ERP software.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs and analyze job profitability.
• Assist with WIP reporting and job cost analysis.
• Monitor and analyze project labor, including hours by job, cost code, productivity, and variances.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly close and financial reporting.
• Support A/P, A/R, and GL activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Administrators, operations teams, and the finance team.
• Learn ERP systems and construction accounting processes.
• Take on new responsibilities as your knowledge grows.

What You’ll Do:As a Construction Project Accountant, your primary focus will be supporting the financial success of our construction projects. Although project accounting will be at the heart of your role, this isn’t a narrowly defined position.
