Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
• Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects, subcontractors, and vendors simultaneously
• Proficient in producing detailed fixed price estimates; ability to use RS Means or other published unit price books to produce detailed line-item estimates
• Possess effective negotiating skills
• Resource Management; to include operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, and time
• Strong ability to adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate integrity with core values
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment with diverse backgrounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including professional presentation of information
• Mentor and train assistant level operations team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Creates and manages budgets; communicates with team members, subcontractors and clients; ensures delivery per contract
• Estimating: Prepares estimates from specifications, SOW, and drawings; performs quantity take-offs; enters line items in database
• Subcontractor Management: Solicitations, evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontractor agreements, track buyout
• Scheduling: Develops and maintains project schedules with superintendents
• Business Development: Contacts customers to discuss needs and grow framework agreements
• Safety: Ensures compliance with HSEQ guidelines and local requirements
• Travel: Occasional travel between project sites; site visits and inspections
• Site conditions: Conducts site visits and prepares As-Built drawings
