Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Junior or Senior standing preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Ability to work full-time during the summer internship period.
• Interest in construction project management and the construction industry.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service mindset and professional attitude.
• Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Familiarity with construction documents, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation
• Support project schedule updates and track project milestones
• Develop and manage project correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives
• Review shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, addenda, purchase orders, and change orders
• Monitor construction schedules and assist with critical path schedule updates based on actual project progress
• Support processing of progress payments, change orders, and extra work orders
• Assist with developing and tracking project punch lists
• Participate in project team, progress, and scheduling meetings
• Record and follow up on meeting notes and action items
• Maintain project logs and organize project paperwork
• Assist with construction inspections and review construction drawings and blueprints
• Gain hands-on experience supporting active construction projects from planning through completion
