Job summary

Jobot in Georgia seeks a Construction PM/Estimator to lead bid efforts on commercial projects. You will review drawings, prepare estimates, and coordinate with subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase.

The role requires strong math, the ability to read blueprints, and experience in estimating. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. This on-site position is based in Macon, GA with competitive compensation.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare detailed bid estimates with proposals.
• Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs.
• Prospect and procure new bid opportunities.
• Analyze plans, specifications and documentation to prepare bid estimates.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and peers.

Job Summary

Lead Construction Estimator or Pre Construction Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required
• Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals
• Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs
• Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid
• Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, bids, and coordination meetings
• Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Desire and determination to succeed
• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and years of experience
• The ability to proficiently provide estimates & estimating services
• Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting
• Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff preferred
• Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Excellent math skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to fully understand plans and specifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator
