Job summary

BMS CAT is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial reconstruction projects in the Houston area. You will ensure on-time delivery, stay within budget, and maintain high quality while coordinating with subcontractors, in-house trades, property managers, and insurance professionals.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, the ability to manage multiple projects in different phases, and solid knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience managing insurance reconstruction, remodel, or new construction as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Supervisor with residential or commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in various phases of construction.
• Solid understanding of residential buildings systems (framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical), and finish trade sequencing.
• Proven ability to build and manage schedules, buyout and coordinate trades, and perform jobsite quality control and punch-out.
• Experience managing job-level financials including budgeted and actual expenses, gross margin targets, and change order control.
• Ability to conduct site walks, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments.
• Strong organizational skills

• Possess client-facing skills to communicate effectively with all involved parties throughout the reconstruction process
• Experience working with time and materials
• Valid driver's license with a stellar driving record
• Xactimate estimating (highly preferred)
• Contractor’s license (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential and commercial reconstruction projects from start to finish.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Interact daily with subcontractors, in-house tradespeople, property managers, and insurance professionals.
• Lead project teams, coordinate trades, and manage schedules and cost control.
• Monitor job-site safety and quality control, including punch-out and closeout.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
