Job summary

PALA Group, Inc. is seeking a construction estimator to prepare cost estimates and schedules for bidding and project planning. The role requires evaluating drawings, planning workflow, and coordinating with clients on scope and timing.

Responsibilities include compiling materials and workforce requirements, performing site walks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders while using Inventor, AutoCAD and Office tools to produce reports and estimates.

Qualifications

• Five years of field experience or degree in construction management/engineering.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Experience with Inventor and AutoCAD R14 or higher.
• Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Internet and email applications.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and meet appropriate motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates and schedules construction projects to aid management in bidding.
• Studies drawings, plans and specifications to get overall picture of work that needs to be done.
• Performs job walks to assess the work environment and location.
• Compiles lists of materials, tools, equipment and workers needed.
• Plans sequence of work and coordinates with client to agree on schedule.
• Computes overall cost estimates for materials, labor and subcontracted work.
