Job description

The Construction Estimator III will perform the role of a project manager and quality control officer in all construction projects through design, contracting, and completion. In this role, the estimator will:

  1. Write daily/weekly reports regarding work in progress.
  2. Assist in analyzing commercial bids for construction and renovation work.
  3. Inspect, witness, and document tests of newly installed or modified electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
  4. Make recommendations for remedial actions to ensure performance meets project specifications.

Besides project management and quality control duties, the estimator will support government facilities with planning and estimating tasks, including:

  1. Analyzing agency requirements.
  2. Reviewing specifications, drawings, layouts, and sketches.
  3. Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials and man-hours, consistent with accepted trade practices and guidelines.

Qualified candidates must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience and the basic certifications required for this trade.
