Qualifications

• 1 year of payroll experience required.
• Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws.
• Experience in payroll tax reporting and compliance using ADP.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Make changes to employee information such as address, withholdings, or deductions.
• Time entry and processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
• Prepares and distributes payroll checks and payroll registers.
• Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax withholding returns.
• Assist with year-end documents such as W2 forms.
• Setup new state withholding accounts.
• Prepare manual payroll checks as needed.
• Submit union fringe benefit reports.
• Create union pay tables in the payroll system.
• Assist with union audits.
• Maintain a payroll-deduction calendar.
• Explain payroll options to employees (e.g., direct deposit).
• Transmit information or documents via computer, mail, or fax.
• Performs other related duties as required.
