Souder, Miller & Associates (SMA) is a growing engineering firm in New Mexico seeking experienced Construction Observer II-IV to oversee water and sewer projects. SUMMARY:
Construction Observer II-IV is responsible for coordinating and observing the construction of water, sanitary sewer, and other public or private construction projects assisting a project supervisor. Assignments typically include primarily field duties with some office duties, such as daily report writing. Under the supervision of a Project Engineer, ability to perform construction observation and effectively interact with Contractors, Clients and SMA technical and administrative staff. Candidate shall be comfortable identifying potential issues promptly with Contractor and Engineer. Field assignments will extend from several weeks to several months and longer. The preferred Construction Observer should also have the ability to complete Constructability Reviews of design plans.
