Job summary

Zipline seeks a Construction Management Intern in Dallas–Fort Worth to support rolling out drone ground infrastructure across metros. You will work with Communications, Government Affairs, Engineering, and Operations to tackle operational and technical challenges and ensure sites become operational quickly.

You will assist in contractor evaluation, bid review, design review with engineering partners, and site construction management, coordinating with Service Operations and Superintendent teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management and have completed the second year of undergraduate studies.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Bluebeam and Procore.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Must be able to travel frequently throughout Dallas-Fort Worth; requires transportation and ability to travel to operational sites.

Responsibilities

• Support construction projects, site infrastructure installments, construction contractors, and real estate development projects ensuring schedule and cost targets are met or beaten.
• Help develop improvements to construction methods and processes.
• Source and foster relationships with external stakeholders, including local jurisdictions, utilities, landlords, and contractors.
• Assist with identifying and mitigating risks associated with pre-construction and construction phases.
• Track and communicate project timelines with internal Zipline teams.
• Source and manage general contractors and subcontractors across various trades during bid, pre-construction, construction, and site commissioning phases.
• Support construction project quality and site-readiness walks.
