Construction Mechanic Responsibilities

• Operate as a team leader under the Foreman's supervision, undertaking specific phases of work and directing others.
• Assist with excavation operations, including spotting and directing heavy equipment operators. Operating small machinery like skid steer loaders or backhoes is a plus.
• Cut and thread steel pipes, assist in fitting and installing underground and above-ground tanks.
• Support the foreman with shooting grades and simple paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site as directed.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed, including signage, barricades, and PPE.
• Keep tools and inventory organized and in good condition.
• Communicate effectively and assist in planning to avoid problems.
• Present a professional image and maintain personal appearance.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate construction trucks and tow small trailers safely. No DUI within the past 5 years.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Experience in HVAC, pipefitting, petroleum construction, or related fields.
• Ability to pass drug screening, criminal background check, and MVR if driving for the company.
