Job summary

Kleinfelder's Tulsa office is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the field, verifying conformance to specs and supporting Geotechnical teams.

Requirements include 1-5 years' experience, basic to intermediate computer skills, and the ability to read test procedures; travel and occasional night/weekend work may be needed. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Kleinfelder's Tulsa, OK office is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. Kleinfelder’s Tulsa Office is looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the field for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance to industry and construction specifications and to provide design parameters for our Geotechnical Engineering teams. Specific responsibilities will include:

• following proper procedures
• performing accurate computations using basic to intermediate math including some algebra
• maintaining cordial relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.
• working with a team in a challenging, fun, and fast paced environment towards a common goal
• having a dynamic work style which includes multi-tasking and being able to quickly shift focus from one task to another when needed

This is a mid-experience level position with the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills related to construction materials and scientific testing. The Technician will complete tests including data sheets and basic calculations for reporting purposes. The position may require travel from time to time and the ability to work nights and weekends when necessary to support client deadlines.

The successful candidate will bring:

• 1-5 years of construction materials testing experience
• Basic to intermediate computer skills with MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook
• Basic to intermediate math skills
• The ability to read and understand a test procedure

CERTIFICATIONS

• ACI Concrete Field Technician
• ODOT Materials Sampling Technician
• Nuclear Gauge / Troxler / Radiation Safety

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.
